Random Spontaniety

The title is a little redundant, isn't it? I stayed home sick form school today, and I'm feeling a bit spontaneous.

1. Fall Beauty

berries
I think I've posted pictures of this tree before. I love the berries on it. Now they're shrivelling up and dying, but they look cool anyway :)

interesting leaf
While in my yard snappping pictures of leaves, I came across this one. It amazed me. I love the coloring on it! I wonder what happened to make it look like theis?

yellow fall leaves
I think yellow is my favorite color for fall leaves. Actually, it's a draw between that and vividly red leaves. I just love colorful leaves in general!

2. Blogging Help
I'm still learning the ins and outs of Blogger, so I'm really thankful for my friend Carlotta, who has helped me out so much with my blog. Thanks, Carlotta! :)

3. Painting
I'm pretty bad at it, if that's possible. On Saturday my dad asked me to paint some trim for our basement bathroom which he's in the process of remodeling. I'm not sure I did such a great job. At one point I dropped a piece of freshly painted trim paint-side down in a pile of leaves. *Shhh, don't tell my dad.*
But anyway, I noticed that the saw horses I painted the trim on looked really cool with the different colored drips of paint from all of the times it's been used to paint something.

I got a little bit bored :)

4. Creepy
I took a picture of a spider. A close-up of a spider.
My camera does not have live view.
I was focusing manually.
Which means, my face was actually this close to the spider. (Ok, "daddy longlegs" aren't really spiders. But what's the difference when it comes to creepiness?)

I took about 5 of these.
Oh, and did I mention, I am an arachnophobic? A... huge arachnophobic? Even looking at these pictures makes me squirm. So, in other words, the only reason I'm posting these pictures is because they make me feel accomplished. Ha.

5. Roses
I never found roses that gorgeous. They seemed so commom- I mean, everyone has rosebushes. And then I started taking pictures of them.

They're so delicate, so bright.

They come in so many colors.

I mean, no wonder everyone has rosebushes- they're beautiful!

6. 80 degree weather in November
I just looked out the window at our thermometer, and it said 79 degrees. Thinking that couldn't be right, I walked outside to check. It was right. I'm torn between loving it and hating it. I really, really want it to snow. But, while it's not snowing, I do enjoy the warmth. What fun is cold without snow?

7. SNOW IN THE FORECAST!
I just checked the extended forecast. Every time I've done this recently, there has been no snow ahead.
Today:

December 4th. Snow! Yes, it's mixed with rain. Yes, it only lasts for a day. But it's snow. In early December. Yay!

8. Christmas
I'm a Christmas girl. All the way. Christmas is my favorite time of year.
Snow, Christmas smells, Christmas food, Christmas trees, Christmas lights and decorations, Christmas presents, and of course Christmas! The day is amazing. We have 2 Christmas Eve Services and a Christmas Day Service at my church. I love Christmas hymns. And I'm in our church choir this year for the first time, which sings at the midnight Christmas Eve service. I can't wait!
Advent begins this Sunday. For those of you whose churches don't observe Advent... I'm sorry for you. I love Advent hymns. And the church is full of lights. And getting to see the candles on the Advent wreath slowly lit week by week until Christmas... It's wonderful.
Christmas is only 33 days away!!! *Dies with anticipation*

Is anyone else as excited as me?
